The ALIGN-CCUS project unites science and industry to help transform Europe's industrial regions into economically robust, low-carbon centres by 2025.
SCCS had just completed several work packages of research alongside other European researchers on the capture, transport, storage and utilisation of carbon using existing European infrastructure.
The complex results of 6 work packages needed to be communicated to various stakeholders clearly in an exhibition setting.

This project was produced while working as a freelance graphic designer.
The Approach
The main challenge of the project was working with each individual workstream; the teams were based all around Europe. I began with the project overview along with some layouts as it would give the team an idea of what we have to work with.
Icons
The project already had a limited icon set taken from a previous piece of illustration work. I thought the style was accessable, clear and bold and expanded the library of icons.
